Year 1 Teacher – Primary School (Manchester)

About the role

We are seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Manchester from September 2026 to February 2027. The school is community‑focused and dedicated to providing a safe, engaging environment where every child can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and creative Year 1 lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
• Support pupils' early development in reading, writing and maths, with a strong focus on phonics.
• Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment.
• Use assessment effectively to identify next steps and support pupil progress.
• Work collaboratively with staff, parents and support teams to promote positive outcomes.

Required profile

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1 or Early Years.
• Demonstrate strong behaviour management and a nurturing teaching style.
• Committed to high standards of teaching, learning and pupil development.
