About the role
We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class in a mainstream primary school located in East Dulwich, Southwark. The role combines general classroom assistance with dedicated support for pupils who have additional needs, helping to maintain an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all students.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to staff and parents.
- Utilize specialized strategies and interventions to support students’ learning and development.
- Assist the teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Support classroom management and behavior strategies.
Required profile
- Proven experience working with children with mild needs in a mainstream setting.
- Good knowledge of SEN best practices and interventions.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping all students achieve their greatest potential.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
