About the role
Our Sparkhill primary school is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join the team on Thursdays and Fridays from September 2026 until the Christmas break. This part‑time, contractor position offers a stable, long‑term teaching environment within a supportive community.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive classroom for Year 5 pupils.
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and tailored to individual needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies for pupils with SEND.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to optimise pupil outcomes.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Year 5 or Key Stage 2.
- Enhanced DBS check (registered on the update service).
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training as required.
