Event Manager

About the role

BLAST is looking for an experienced Event Manager to lead the planning and delivery of arena show elements for high‑profile esports tournaments across the BLAST × Valve global ecosystem. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, ensuring every on‑site detail runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational contact for BLAST arena shows, coordinating venue operations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage all deadlines and deliverables related to venue contracts, working closely with production and ticketing leads.
• Maintain a high‑level overview of venue activities, including load‑in, media days, tours, and ad‑hoc events.
• Organise site visits, introductions, and ensure the right departments and venue contacts are aligned.
• Own non‑production floor‑plan elements such as back‑of‑house layouts, dressing rooms, catering areas, and practice‑room logistics.
• Lead on‑site communications, daily briefs, and coordinate freelance local Event Managers, coordinators, and front‑of‑house staff.
• Manage budget lines related to event delivery and collaborate with production, ticketing, commercial, and broadcast teams on floor‑plans and seating charts.
• Facilitate partner activations on site and oversee hotel bookings, accommodation, catering, and accreditation.

Required profile

• Senior event professional with a proven track record delivering large‑scale live or esports events.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a global, multi‑location setting.
• Passion for esports and a collaborative mindset.
