Housekeeping Laundry Assistant

About the role

As a Housekeeping Laundry Assistant you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents at Etive House Care Home. This hands‑on position combines cleaning duties with laundry support, ensuring high standards of hygiene and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of presentation.
• Perform laundry tasks including washing, drying, ironing, sorting, labeling and returning clothing and linens.
• Follow infection‑control, health‑and‑safety and housekeeping procedures for safe and efficient work.
• Collaborate with the wider team to create a comfortable, respectful environment for all residents.

Required profile

• Positive and reliable attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control (beneficial).

Required skills

What we offer

• £12.71 per hour.
• 32‑hour contract.
• Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided.
