About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with high‑needs autism in a specialist classroom in Westminster. The role runs from September 2026 to at least July 2027, providing structured, sensory‑based support in a collaborative SEND team.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individual, daily support for a non‑verbal Year 1 child with autism, focusing on structure, engagement and encouragement.
- Work alongside an experienced Teaching Assistant who leads planning, organisation and delivery of the SEND provision.
Required profile
- Minimum one year experience in EYFS or Key Stage 1, with prior work supporting children with autism and additional needs.
- Calm, resilient and able to respond positively to challenging situations while building strong relationships with pupils and staff.
- Passionate about helping SEND pupils achieve their full potential.
What we offer
- Full‑time, fixed‑term contract (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑4:00 pm) with a competitive daily rate of £90‑£100.
