Account Handler – Healthcare Insurance

About the role

This position is with a specialist healthcare insurance business launching a new office in Manchester. You will work closely with a small team to service self‑employed medical consultants, providing day‑to‑day support for Medical Malpractice and Professional Indemnity policies.

Key responsibilities

• Service existing Medical Malpractice and Professional Indemnity policies.
• Manage renewals, obtain quotations from panel insurers and issue policy documents.
• Prepare accurate documentation, process invoicing and collect client payments.
• Handle client and insurer queries professionally and efficiently.
• Support the delivery of renewal and new‑business income targets.

Required profile

• Positive attitude for learning new products and strong work ethic.
• Confident, professional telephone manner with ability to build rapport with medical professionals.
• Highly organised, able to prioritise and work accurately in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to London for meetings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

What we offer

• Salary £28,000 – £40,000 (dependent on experience).
