AI Platform Engineer

About the role

Join a fast‑growing international SaaS business to shape the future of AI. As an AI Platform Engineer you will design, build and operate a cloud‑native Azure platform that powers conversational AI products and the wider AI strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate AI platform infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and optimise Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, LLM orchestration and vector‑search services.
• Deploy infrastructure as code using Terraform and support containerised applications.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and Azure DevOps.
• Improve observability, monitoring and platform resilience.
• Support knowledge ingestion, embedding pipelines and vector‑search technologies.
• Apply security and governance best practices across the platform.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and supporting cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure‑as‑Code expertise.
• Hands‑on experience with containerised applications and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• Solid understanding of cloud‑native architecture, APIs and microservices.
• Experience with vector‑search technologies such as OpenSearch is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Foundry or Azure AI Foundry is desirable but not essential.
