Application Security Engineer

About the role

Intermedia is seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join its Global Security team. In this individual‑contributor role you will help embed security throughout the software development lifecycle of a diverse portfolio of cloud‑based communication products.

Key responsibilities

• Perform design and architecture reviews of new features and define security requirements.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to advise on secure SDLC practices.
• Run static security scanning tools, review findings and coordinate remediation.
• Conduct manual security assessments and review external penetration‑test results.
• Provide on‑demand application security support and drive process‑improvement ideas.
• Assist with bug‑bounty defect intake and coordination with third‑party researchers.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in application security.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding best practices and OWASP standards.
• Familiarity with SDLC and DevSecOps concepts.
• Experience communicating security findings to developers and managers.

Required skills

• Static and dynamic scanning tools such as BurpSuite, ZAP, Snyk.
• Programming in Python.
• Cloud platforms: AWS and Azure.
• Container technologies: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of AI‑related security threats.
