Architect (Data Centre/Mission Critical)

About the role

WSP Architecture is seeking a qualified Architect with specialised experience in Data Centre and Mission Critical environments to join our Birmingham office. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the design and delivery of high‑performance facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, modify and review architectural drawings, ensuring design intent is captured.
• Create design concepts, 2D/3D models, sketches, and detailed construction documents.
• Conduct research, data collection and product/materials selection to support design solutions.
• Prepare presentations, renderings and reports for clients and consultants.
• Collaborate on multiple projects, managing design tasks, deadlines and budgets.
• Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design principles into all deliverables.

Required profile

• Qualified architect with proven experience in Data Centre and Mission Critical sectors.
• Ability to guide junior team members and manage design deliverables.
• Strong communication skills for client and consultant interaction.
• Commitment to company values and professional standards.
