Area Sales Manager – Furniture Solutions

About the role

The Area Sales Manager – Furniture Solutions will lead field sales of high‑quality, manufactured furniture primarily for the education sector across the West Midlands and North Wales. You will work directly with dealers, large education furniture manufacturers, local authorities, multi‑academy trusts, schools, colleges and universities.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business and manage existing accounts within the assigned territory.
• Sell a range of furniture solutions including lockers, tables, chairs and stages.
• Handle order values from £3,000 up to £150,000, with an average order size of £3,000‑£6,000.
• Provide problem‑solving, conflict resolution and tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
• Maintain and grow a patch currently delivering approximately £1 million in revenue.

Required profile

• Proven B2B, project‑led field sales experience.
• Experience selling to furniture dealers or the education sector is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with furniture products such as lockers, stages, tables and chairs is advantageous.
• Highly motivated, self‑starter with strong initiative.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

What we offer

• Base salary £40,000‑£50,000 per year plus approximately £15,000 commission.
• £6,000 car allowance and a full benefits package.
