Area Sales Manager – Generators & Capital Equipment

About the role

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to lead our generator and capital‑equipment business across the North of the UK. The company provides fuel and gas solutions for the laser‑cutting industry and is expanding its market presence. You will work from home while travelling to client sites from Scotland to North Wales, delivering technical consultancy and driving new business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing client accounts across the North of the UK.
• Research new business opportunities and chase leads.
• Provide technical advice on generators, gas generation and related equipment.
• Travel to client sites regularly and maintain strong relationships.
• Work from home, contacting prospects via phone and email.
• Report progress and results to the Head of Sales.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling capital equipment or industrial generators.
• Full UK driving licence.
• HNC or degree in a science or engineering discipline.

What we offer

• Base salary £45,000‑£50,000 per year.
• On‑target earnings £75,000‑£80,000 with uncapped commission.
