Area Sales Manager – Midlands (Automotive)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead our established Midlands territory for a leading OE automotive parts manufacturer. You will own a well‑defined region, build and deepen relationships with distributors, motor factors, buying groups and national accounts, and drive growth across passenger‑car and commercial‑vehicle product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, motor factors, buying groups and key customers across the Midlands.
• Increase distributor stock levels and promote promotional activities to boost sales.
• Identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities, expanding the customer base.
• Deliver product training and commercial support to customers.
• Create and execute account development plans to unlock further growth.
• Gather market intelligence and competitor insights to inform business strategy.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and finance teams to maximise territory performance.
• Maintain a structured sales pipeline and keep CRM data up to date.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the automotive aftermarket, preferably in a sales or business development role.
• Track record of managing customer relationships across distribution channels.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage your own diary and drive results.
• Strong commercial acumen with a focus on sales growth and customer retention.

Required skills

• Experience using a CRM system to manage pipeline and activity.
