Area Sales Manager – Vinyl Flooring & Panel Products

About the role

This is a field‑based sales position focused on selling a manufactured range of vinyl flooring and wood panel products to the construction and interior sectors. You will work primarily through distributors, builder merchants and buying groups such as Jewson and Travis Perkins.

Key responsibilities

• Sell vinyl flooring and wood panel products to distributors, builder merchants and buying groups.
• Present product solutions to customers and manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and update the Barbour ABI system.
• Account for existing customers while generating new business opportunities.
• Handle projects ranging from £500 to £25,000+ depending on size and scope.

Required profile

• Proven construction field‑sales experience.
• Track record of selling to builder merchants or distributors.
• Stable career history with a focus on interior or wood‑related products.
• Analytical, critical‑thinking approach and strong IT literacy.

What we offer

• Salary between £45,000 and £65,000 plus bonus.
