Area Sales Manager – Wall Protection and Louvres

About the role

This is a field‑based sales position focused on selling a premium range of wall protection and related interior and exterior building products across the North West of England and North Wales.

Key responsibilities

• Sell wall protection, entrance matting, expansion joints, louvres and fire‑suppression venting to architects, specifiers and end users.
• Target sectors such as healthcare, commercial buildings, leisure, education, car parks, data centres and shopping centres.
• Manage a project bank of over £2.4 million and achieve a revenue target of approximately £1.4 million.
• Conduct 15‑20 client appointments per week across four days, with one day dedicated to phone‑based appointment setting.
• Balance 60 % account management with 40 % new‑business prospecting, focusing on projects over £50,000.
• Collaborate with head‑office for quotes, follow‑ups and technical support.

Required profile

• Proven field‑sales track record selling building products.
• Experience specifying products to architects and working with main contractors and specialist sub‑contractors.
• Existing contacts within construction and interior‑design sectors are highly desirable.
• Ability to manage large project values and meet revenue targets.
