Assistant City Manager Team Leader

About the role

The Assistant City Manager Team Leader will lead the South of England sales territory, overseeing City Managers and ensuring performance aligns with national standards. Reporting to the North Team Leader, you will manage day‑to‑day operations, coach staff, and travel across the region to stay connected with customers and the field team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily or weekly meetings with City Managers to review metrics, set goals and provide feedback.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members through one‑to‑one meetings, performance reviews and probation assessments.
• Visit sales representatives in the field to understand market conditions, oversee depot days, sampling and customer activations.
• Monitor territory performance, analyse data, manage incentives and produce regular progress reports.
• Identify training needs, deliver product and sales technique sessions, and stay updated on industry trends.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and induction of new team members.
• Approve holidays, incentives and handle other administrative duties.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing sales teams and achieving targets.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the South of England.
• Ability to analyse performance data and drive improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
