Assistant Garment Technologist – Tops

About the role

Mountain Warehouse is a rapidly growing global retailer with a strong online presence. We have an exciting opportunity to support the technical and sustainable product development of our Mountain Warehouse, Animal and Eastern Mountain Sports brands. The role focuses on multi‑product women’s, men’s and children’s wear with a jersey focus, overseeing a small product area.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the quality and fit for a capsule area with senior support.
• Run fit meetings for the area, driving consistency and fit improvements.
• Drive innovation in product performance and sustainability through benchmarking and technical projects.
• Work with the Garment Technologist to ensure technical suitability of fabric, construction, and fit.
• Manage category testing and AQL programmes.
• Monitor returns data to identify poor performance and deliver improvements.
• Build supplier relationships to influence quality and fit.

Required profile

• At least 1 year in an assistant technologist role.
• Capable of fitting unaided.
• Experienced in testing review.
• Good data management and reporting skills.
• Experience working with offshore suppliers.
• Strong influencing, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Team player able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Organised, methodical with great attention to detail.
