Assistant Merchandiser – Lifestyle Brand

About the role

As an Assistant Merchandiser you will sit at the centre of stock and planning operations for a fast‑moving lifestyle brand. You will ensure the right product is in the right place, at the right time and at the right price, supporting the commercial success of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Merchandiser in planning, forecasting and trading product categories to meet sales, profit and stock targets.
• Produce and analyse weekly trading reports, identify risks and opportunities and recommend actions to maximise profitability.
• Monitor sales performance, stock levels and intake, re‑forecast demand and optimise availability throughout the season.
• Manage purchase orders, deliveries and supplier critical paths, working with suppliers, logistics and internal teams to resolve supply‑chain issues.
• Analyse category performance, sell‑through and stock data to inform range decisions, blanket orders and strategic stock planning.
• Collaborate with Buying and cross‑functional teams on seasonal planning, budgeting and balanced product ranges.
• Prepare regular trade and performance reports and support wider merchandising projects.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience at Allocator/MAA level.
• Highly analytical with strong numerical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workload and thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.

Required skills

• Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis functions).
