Assistant Project Manager – Client Side (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Client‑side Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Manchester on a hybrid basis. The role supports the Regional Property Manager in maintaining and improving a multi‑site property portfolio across the North West, ensuring sites are safe, compliant and fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day management of the regional property portfolio across operational and office locations.
• Independently manage smaller maintenance, refurbishment and improvement projects from scope development through contractor appointment, delivery, cost control and handover.
• Assist the Regional Property Manager with larger capital projects, major works and operational initiatives.
• Prepare scopes of work, technical specifications, contractor requirements and cost estimates.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
• Support procurement processes, tender reviews, contractor appointments and performance monitoring.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor condition, compliance, health & safety and contractor performance.
• Promote health & safety standards and ensure activities meet statutory requirements.
• Provide technical advice to operational stakeholders on maintenance, repair and compliance matters.
• Liaise with engineering managers, landlords, contractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Support statutory inspections and remedial works tracking.

Required profile

• Experience in property or facilities management with a focus on project delivery.
• Ability to manage projects from inception to handover, including budgeting and cost control.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Commitment to health & safety and regulatory compliance.
