Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Repairs & Maintenance

About the role

We are partnering with a leading property services contractor to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for their Hampshire team. The role focuses on reactive maintenance, voids and disrepair projects within the social housing sector, supporting the delivery of high‑quality repairs and maintenance services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the commercial management of reactive maintenance, voids and disrepair contracts.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, bills of quantities and variations using the NHF Schedule of Rates.
• Manage subcontractor invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Support the senior Quantity Surveyor in monitoring project budgets and reporting on financial performance.
• Collaborate with site teams to resolve contractual issues and maintain project timelines.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a junior or assistant Quantity Surveyor role, or as a Commercial Administrator, on repairs & maintenance contracts.
• Experience within the social housing sector is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and handle a flexible workload.
• Strong initiative and the capacity to work independently.
• Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to commercial documentation.
