Associate Director – Structural Engineering (London)

About the role

The Associate Director – Structural Engineering will lead high‑value building structures projects ranging from £50 million to £400 million across the UK and internationally. Based in Central London, the role offers a permanent contract, a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package and hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Manage delivery of complex structural schemes from feasibility through to construction.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff and oversee graduate development.
• Develop business opportunities, prepare feasibility studies and contribute to winning new work.
• Produce concept and scheme design reports, design calculations and contract documentation.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure projects meet technical and commercial targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of practical design experience in a high‑calibre UK structural consultancy.
• Chartered Engineer status (or progressing towards it) is desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication and business development capabilities.
• Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and able to operate independently.
