AWS Platform Engineer

About the role

Nonacus is seeking an AWS Platform Engineer to own and evolve the cloud infrastructure that supports its clinical and laboratory software systems. Reporting to the Principal Bioinformatics Engineer, you will work closely with development and bioinformatics teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable environments in a regulated diagnostics setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, authentication) for development, test and production environments.
• Develop and manage infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Create and support CI/CD pipelines to enable repeatable, secure deployments.
• Monitor platform health, respond to incidents, manage backups, logging and observability.
• Implement cybersecurity controls and ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 13485, ISO 15189 and GDPR.
• Document infrastructure, configuration and changes to satisfy quality management requirements.

Required profile

• A degree in Computer Science, Software/Cloud Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands‑on experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC).
• Experience deploying and maintaining application infrastructure in a production setting.
• Foundational scripting/programming skills in Python and/or Bash.
