Band 5 Occupational Therapist (Edinburgh & Glasgow)

About the role

We are recruiting Band 5 Occupational Therapists to work across the acute sites of the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and the Western General Hospital. The posts are permanent, 36 hours per week, and include both static and rotational placements within a variety of clinical areas.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions in settings such as Oncology, Major Trauma, Clinical Neurosciences, Infectious Diseases, MAU and Frailty.
• Participate in weekend service provision as part of a 5‑over‑7 day working pattern.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and support patient rehabilitation pathways.
• Engage in continuous professional development, supervision and appraisal processes.

Required profile

• Qualified Occupational Therapist eligible for Band 5 placement.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and flexible, with a willingness to work across multiple specialties.
• New graduates are welcomed; candidates should be available to start from October.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality patient‑centred care.
