About the role
We are seeking a Bank Family Support Worker to join our team at Bonner House in Birmingham. This role involves supporting families and children, ensuring safety and wellbeing, and providing care during day and night shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Observe and record parents’ ability to meet children’s safety and care needs through daily observations.
- Encourage parents/carers to prioritise children’s safety and welfare.
- Create a supportive learning environment for parents and children.
- Provide childcare while parents attend group or individual sessions.
- Ensure the safety of children and families during night shifts and secure the building.
Required profile
- Enthusiastic about working with children and families.
- Willing to undertake NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce.
- Available for night shifts (additional allowance provided).
Required skills
- Ability to observe and record information accurately.
- Strong communication with parents and team members.
