Bank Maintenance Assistant – Care Home (Flexible Part‑Time)

About the role

This casual, part‑time Bank Maintenance Assistant role supports three Barchester care homes – Ashby House (Milton Keynes), Collingtree Park (Northampton) and Juniper House (Brackley). You will help create safe, attractive environments that enable high‑quality patient care, providing cover for routine and unexpected maintenance needs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain building interiors and exteriors to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming appearance.
• Carry out routine repairs, minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks across the homes.
• Respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues to minimise disruption to residents and staff.
• Support external contractors and ensure work is completed to Barchester standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in property or facilities maintenance.
• Patient, caring attitude with a genuine interest in residents' wellbeing.
• Flexible, reliable and able to adapt to a variety of tasks.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle for travelling between sites.
