Behaviour Mentor – Support Students with SEMH & SEND

About the role

Prospero Teaching is recruiting Psychology graduates to work as Behaviour Mentors in secondary schools and alternative provisions across the Midlands. The role provides hands‑on experience supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, SEND and behavioural challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with school staff to build positive relationships.
• Promote engagement in learning and help students overcome barriers.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support.
• Assist in delivering behaviour management strategies.
• Support the implementation of personalised learning plans.

Required profile

• Holds a Psychology degree (or related).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, resilient and proactive.
• Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Has the right to work in the UK.
