About the role
I'm looking to recruit an experienced Benefits Officer to support delivery of the DWP Crisis Resilience Fund. The role involves processing Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims, assessing discretionary awards and delivering accurate, timely decisions for vulnerable residents.
Key responsibilities
- Process all types of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims.
- Assess discretionary awards and ensure decisions are accurate and timely.
- Support vulnerable residents by managing service demand.
- Contribute to the effective delivery of the Fund’s objectives.
Required profile
- Substantial experience in benefits administration, particularly Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support.
- Proven ability to assess discretionary awards and make timely decisions.
