Bus Development Officer (Infrastructure)

About the role

Join the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) as a Bus Development Officer (Infrastructure), a pivotal role within our Bus Development and Infrastructure section. You will play a key part in enhancing the passenger experience across the Strathclyde region by managing the installation and maintenance of essential bus stop infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate contractors responsible for the installation, maintenance, and cleaning of bus stops, shelters, and real-time information displays.
• Oversee the deployment and upkeep of associated infrastructure to ensure high service standards for the public.
• Provide technical support for the software and system aspects of the Real-Time Information (RTI) systems.
• Support the successful delivery of the Bus Infrastructure Investment Programme.
• Liaise effectively with local authority partners, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers to ensure seamless infrastructure upgrades.
• Assist the Bus Development Manager and Team Leader in coordinating and achieving key strategic objectives.

• Highly organized professional with a proven track record in infrastructure management.
• Demonstrated experience in contractor management and overseeing physical installations.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills for effective liaison with diverse stakeholders and local authorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team to meet complex project deadlines.
