Business Analyst – Financial Services (Hybrid, £55k)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the Change and Transformation function of a leading financial services organisation in central Birmingham. The role is initially a 12‑month fixed‑term contract with a strong possibility of becoming permanent, offering hybrid working and a competitive salary.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements across multiple projects.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders and subject‑matter experts.
• Produce and obtain approval for documentation such as requirements, process maps, plans and reports.
• Support agile delivery using tools like JIRA and Azure DevOps.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve issues.

Required profile

• Proactive and adaptable with a focus on delivering results.
• Proven track record of successful delivery in a business analysis role.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Well‑organised, self‑motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• JIRA and Azure DevOps (or similar) for agile project management.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing abilities.
