Business Development Manager – Automotive Aftermarket

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our UK distributor network for a globally recognised automotive OEM. You will shape relationships with motor factors, buying groups and aftermarket distributors across both passenger car and commercial vehicle sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Build, support and strengthen an expansive UK distributor network.
• Develop and maintain relationships with large motor factors, ITG buying groups and aftermarket distributors.
• Influence key players across the automotive aftermarket and drive sales growth.
• Travel across the region, including overnight stays, to meet customers and partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align distribution strategies with supply‑chain requirements.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in the automotive aftermarket, preferably as a Sales Representative, Business Development Manager, Area Sales Manager or Key Account Manager.
• Strong understanding of parts distribution and supply‑chain processes.
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage from boardroom discussions to workshop settings.
• Highly organised, tenacious and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the UK.
