Business Development Manager – Chemicals & Hygiene

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager with a background in chemicals and hygiene to join a growing company serving hospitals, universities and hospitality sectors across the M60 corridor. You will be responsible for generating new business and managing existing accounts while travelling extensively across Manchester, Leeds and South Chester.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and win new customers in hospitality, university and other target industries.
• Conduct door‑to‑door, cold and warm calls, and arrange client visits.
• Maintain and grow existing accounts through regular follow‑up and service.
• Collaborate with a buddy‑system admin colleague to focus on sales activities.
• Attend sales meetings, training sessions and company events as required.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience, preferably within the chemicals and hygiene sector.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to commute to Manchester, Leeds or South Chester.
• Self‑starter with the ability to hit the ground running.

• Base salary £32,000‑£35,000 plus uncapped commission (OTE up to £60,000).
