Children's Residential Support Worker – Manchester

About the role

We are looking for experienced Children's Residential Support Workers to join our dedicated team in the Manchester area. This agency position offers competitive hourly rates, ongoing training, holiday pay, pension contributions, and weekly payments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day care and support for children aged 6‑16 in an EBD residential setting.
• Implement safeguarding procedures and ensure a safe environment.
• Administer medication as required, following Level 2 training.
• Support children through self‑harm and ligature risk management.
• Promote a positive, empathetic atmosphere using PACE principles.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in a Children’s Residential Support role within an EBD home.
• Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
• Flexible availability for varying shift patterns.

Required skills

• Safeguarding Level 3 certification.
• Medication Administration Level 2.
• PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) training.
• PMVA training (no alternatives accepted).
• Self‑Harm and Ligature risk management training.
