Children's Social Worker – Locality Team (Permanent)

About the role

Our client is seeking experienced Children’s Social Workers to join a dedicated Locality Team serving families in Southwest London. The role is permanent, 36 hours per week, and offers a hybrid working pattern to balance office collaboration with field visits. You will work directly with children, young people and families to assess needs, develop SMART plans and deliver interventions that promote safety and positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Complete thorough assessments and develop SMART plans while providing direct support to children and families.
• Manage cases under Section 17 and Section 47 frameworks, ensuring statutory requirements are met.
• Coordinate multi‑agency plans, interventions and meetings to deliver cohesive support.
• Collaborate with families and partner agencies to safeguard children and improve long‑term outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
• Minimum three years post‑qualifying experience within a UK regulated authority.
• Previous experience in Children’s Services, including assessment and direct work with children and families.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, statutory social work functions and relevant procedures.
