Class 1 HGV Driver – Birmingham (Temp/Ongoing)

About the role

Join Royal Mail’s dedicated team that keeps the UK moving. We are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for trunking operations between depots across the country on a temporary, ongoing basis through the remainder of 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Transport mail between national Royal Mail sites on organised, planned routes.
• Perform comprehensive vehicle checks and maintain top‑tier safety standards.
• Follow scheduled routes with precision, including morning, evening and weekend shifts.
• Represent Royal Mail professionally on every run.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence held for at least 2 years.
• Current CPC qualification and a digital tachograph card.
• Minimum 180 days of Class 1 driving experience within the last 2 years.
• No more than 6 penalty points on the licence.
• Ability to pass vetting and DBS checks.

Required skills

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence operation.
• CPC certification.
• Digital tachograph usage.
