Clinical Negligence Solicitor (Remote) – Manchester

About the role

The firm is a Legal 500 Band 1 practice seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer to join its Manchester‑based team. The position is primarily remote, offering a flexible 35‑hour week while handling high‑value claimant matters in clinical negligence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception through settlement or trial.
• Draft pleadings, issue proceedings and negotiate settlements.
• Coordinate case progression with clients, medical experts and opposing parties.
• Support junior colleagues with case strategy and development.
• Assist the Team Leader in meeting financial and performance targets.
• Identify settlement opportunities and drive efficient case progression.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with at least 4 years post‑qualification experience in clinical negligence.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Strong organisational, communication and drafting abilities.
• Willingness to mentor junior team members.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Proclaim case management software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
