Cloud Native DevOps Engineer - SC Cleared

About the role

We are seeking a Cloud Native DevOps Engineer to join a leading consultancy delivering cutting‑edge solutions for defence and national security clients. The role is based in Manchester and requires active Security Clearance (SC) with eligibility for DV clearance. You will work on high‑impact, mission‑critical projects, shaping cloud‑native solutions that make a real difference.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud solutions on AWS following DevOps best practices.
• Create and manage scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation and serverless technologies.
• Collaborate directly with clients and project teams to deliver end‑to‑end technical solutions.
• Apply Agile and DevOps methodologies to continuously improve delivery, collaboration and solution quality.
• Provide cloud support and ensure reliability of deployed services.

Required profile

• Active SC clearance and eligibility for DV clearance.
• Based in Manchester or able to travel to the Manchester office.
• Proven experience in a DevOps or similar engineering role.

Required skills

• AWS cloud services.
• Kubernetes orchestration.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Serverless architecture design.
• Configuration management with Ansible.
