Commercial Disputes & Litigation Solicitor – Birmingham

About the role

Join a Legal 500‑recognised firm in Birmingham as a Commercial Disputes and Litigation Solicitor. You will manage a varied caseload of commercial disputes, working with SMEs, owner‑managed businesses, national organisations, insurers and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Handle commercial disputes from instruction through to resolution, including contractual disputes, property litigation, breach of directors' duties, trespass and nuisance.
• Advise a diverse client base on complex commercial matters and support insurance‑backed litigation, considering policy coverage where relevant.
• Represent clients throughout the litigation process in the appropriate courts and tribunals.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, managing your own matters with autonomy.
• Collaborate with senior litigation team members for guidance, mentoring and strategic advice.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with experience in commercial disputes or litigation.
• Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently.
• Strong commercial awareness and the capacity to provide practical, strategic advice.
• Interest in working within an innovative, technology‑driven firm.

Required skills

• Experience in handling contractual, property and director‑duty disputes.
• Familiarity with insurance‑backed litigation processes.
• Ability to represent clients in court and tribunals.
