Commercial Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Manager to join a leading facilities management organisation in London. Although the title is commercial, the position is heavily analytical, focusing on detailed financial modelling, cost control and commercial reporting. The role is hands‑on, requiring high accuracy and the ability to interpret large data sets while leading a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain detailed cost information and financial models.
• Review, improve and ensure the accuracy of spreadsheets and commercial data sets.
• Analyse financial data to support budgeting, forecasting and margin tracking.
• Identify data inconsistencies, investigate root causes and uphold data quality standards.
• Lead a team of Commercial Assistants and Coordinators, conduct regular one‑to‑ones and manage workloads.
• Develop and optimise reporting tools, templates and data structures.
• Provide clear updates to senior stakeholders and support onboarding of new team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a commercial, finance or cost analyst role handling large volumes of structured financial data.
• Strong numerical ability with a detail‑oriented mindset.
• Experience leading or supervising a small team.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality commercial reporting.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (complex datasets, modelling).
• Google Sheets.
• Financial modelling and cost‑control techniques.
