Community Safety Operations Manager

About the role

The Community Safety Operations Manager leads the delivery of high‑profile safety services across Buckinghamshire, working closely with senior colleagues, Thames Valley Police and a wide range of partners. This senior leadership position shapes both operational delivery and long‑term strategic planning to create safer communities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational delivery of community safety, anti‑social behaviour, crime reduction and CCTV services.
• Manage and develop high‑performing teams and service leaders.
• Develop policies, procedures and governance frameworks supporting effective service delivery.
• Oversee budgets, contracts, commissioned services and external funding opportunities.
• Use intelligence, data and insight to inform decision‑making and service improvements.

Required profile

• Experienced and inspirational leader with a passion for community safety.
• Strategic thinker with strong operational expertise and the ability to manage complex, politically sensitive issues.
• Excellent communicator capable of building productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proven experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams and multi‑agency partnerships in a large, complex organisation.
