Complaints Investigator – Hybrid, London

About the role
This role supports a North London Authority by clearing a backlog of stage‑1 complaints related to housing needs, homelessness and temporary accommodation. The successful candidate will work hybrid, collaborating with the Housing Needs team to produce clear, written responses for customers.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve stage‑1 housing and homelessness complaints.
- Prepare written responses in partnership with the Housing Needs team.
- Maintain a customer‑centred approach throughout the investigation process.
- Help reduce the current backlog of complaints efficiently.
Required profile
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
- Relevant experience within a local authority setting.
- Proven experience handling complaints, preferably in housing or homelessness.
- Familiarity with the Housing Act 96 Part VII, Homelessness Reduction Act 2018 or Localism Act 2011.
