Complex Injury Solicitor (2-6 PQE) – Manchester/Leeds

About the role

Our client is a highly regarded national law firm seeking a Complex EL/PL Solicitor to join its Manchester or Leeds office. The firm has an established reputation within the insurance market and advises a broad range of insurer, corporate and public sector clients on complex casualty claims.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims from instruction through to conclusion.
• Investigate liability, causation and quantum issues and prepare detailed legal advice and litigation strategies for insurer clients.
• Draft pleadings, applications, witness statements and settlement documentation.
• Liaise with counsel, experts, insurers and insured clients.
• Negotiate settlements and attend court hearings where appropriate.
• Assist with mentoring junior team members and contribute to business development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 2‑6 years' post‑qualification experience.
• Experience handling defendant EL/PL claims (preferable) and managing complex, higher‑value matters.
• Strong technical litigation skills and a sound understanding of EL/PL claims.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication abilities.
• Client‑focused and commercially minded approach.
