Construction Director

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Director to join our growing team. In this senior leadership position you will drive operational excellence across multiple new‑build and commercial social housing projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage several construction projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to high quality standards.
• Supervise, mentor and develop contracts and site managers to maintain strong team performance.
• Work closely with the Managing Director, demonstrating initiative and leadership as the business expands.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, health & safety regulations and quality benchmarks.
• Delegate tasks effectively while remaining accountable for project outcomes.

Required profile

• Natural leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can inspire confidence across teams and stakeholders.
• Degree level or NVQ Level 6 qualification.
• Extensive experience in new‑build construction and the commercial social housing sector.
• Proven track record of managing multiple contracts and leading project teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational abilities.
• Experience in the fenestration or glazing industry is desirable but not essential.
