Corporate Partner – Global Law Firm (Salaried/Equity)

About the role

This is a senior partnership opportunity within a globally recognised full‑service commercial law firm. The successful candidate will lead the Corporate practice in Birmingham and play a pivotal role in the firm’s expansion into Manchester.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Corporate team in Birmingham, overseeing recruitment and development.
• Collaborate directly with senior management and the Global Head of Corporate.
• Handle a broad portfolio of corporate matters, including M&A, private equity, corporate finance, share buy‑backs, joint ventures and governance.
• Drive business development across the West Midlands and Manchester regions.
• Ensure high‑quality delivery and maintain the firm’s reputation for excellence.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with extensive experience in corporate law.
• Proven track record of leading corporate transactions and managing client relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop a legal team.
• Strong communication skills and the capacity to work with senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate finance and governance.
• Experience with share buy‑backs, joint ventures and complex commercial contracts.
