Corporate Tax Manager – Advisory Focus

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing, award‑winning accountancy firm to hire a Corporate Tax Manager for its Midlands tax team. The role blends compliance work with high‑value advisory projects, offering exposure to a diverse client base ranging from owner‑managed businesses to listed corporations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services.
• Review corporation tax returns, computations and tax accounting disclosures.
• Sign off complex tax returns independently.
• Act as the primary tax contact for clients, providing planning and restructuring advice.
• Support clients during HMRC enquiries and investigations, liaising directly with HMRC on their behalf.
• Collaborate with audit, advisory and other service‑line teams on cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a corporate tax professional handling both compliance and advisory work.
• Ability to manage client relationships autonomously.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with HMRC and internal teams.
