Corporate & Transactions Tax Manager – South Birmingham

About the role

We are supporting a growing accountancy and advisory firm in South Birmingham that seeks a Corporate & Transactions Tax Manager. The role blends technical tax compliance with advisory work, reporting to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage corporate tax compliance for a portfolio of clients, including groups and audit engagements.
• Deliver and support advisory projects such as reorganisations, business sales, and share‑scheme implementations.
• Ensure tax planning is accurately reflected within compliance work.
• Liaise with HMRC, clients and third‑party advisers.
• Research and interpret complex tax legislation, providing clear practical advice.
• Handle multiple assignments while maintaining strong organisational control.
• Support, train and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to business‑development initiatives where appropriate.

Required profile

• ATT or ACA qualified with post‑qualified corporate tax experience.
• CTA qualified (or working towards) is preferred.
• Strong UK corporate tax knowledge combined with a commercial mindset.
• Experience across both compliance and advisory work.
• Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Well‑organised with the ability to manage deadlines independently.
• Collaborative approach focused on team development and culture.
