Court of Protection Specialist Financial Advisor

About the role

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced specialist to build and lead a Court of Protection division within a values‑driven wealth management firm. You will work on high‑value compensation awards, shaping long‑term financial plans that have a lifelong impact for clients and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review long‑term financial plans for large compensation awards.
• Advise on investment and income strategies to support lifetime needs.
• Collaborate with legal teams on trusts, deputyship and related structures.
• Attend case meetings with solicitors, professional deputies and families.
• Help shape and develop the firm’s specialist Court of Protection proposition.
• Build a small specialist team over time as demand grows (if desired).

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma‑qualified Financial Adviser with a strong UK track record.
• Current or recent experience in Court of Protection, personal injury or serious injury work.
• Existing relationships and a recognised profile with relevant law firms or deputies.

Required skills

• Cashflow planning.
• Use of specialist planning tools.

What we offer

• Basic salary upwards of £80,000 per year, with flexibility for higher packages for leading specialists.
