Credit Hire Solicitor (CILEX) – Remote

About the role

Join a leading international law firm with a market‑leading insurance practice as a Credit Hire Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive. You will work remotely while handling end‑to‑end dispute resolution for insurer and corporate clients in the fast‑moving credit hire and motor claims arena.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a mixed‑value caseload of litigated credit hire and vehicle damage claims, from small claims to multi‑track matters.
• Proactively oversee claims from instruction through to resolution, reviewing liability, indemnity and associated losses.
• Provide high‑quality legal advice aligned with client service standards and commercial expectations.
• Identify and manage risk, compliance and procedural issues throughout the litigation process.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships.
• Support team performance through knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Contribute to business development and client initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 2 years recent credit hire experience (within the last 5 years).
• Experience handling litigated motor claims, preferably with exposure to credit hire.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and meet performance targets.
• Strong analytical ability to assess evidence and develop legal arguments.
• Good understanding of litigation procedures and court processes.
• Commercial awareness and focus on client outcomes.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
