Credit Officer – FI Credit (Insurance)

About the role

Join Lloyds Banking Group’s FI Credit team as a Credit Officer focused on the insurance sector. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with coverage and product teams to deliver robust credit decisions for a portfolio of insurance clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent credit analysis and provide recommendations on lending, trading limits and internal ratings for insurance brokers, life and non‑life insurers, and Lloyd’s of London participants.
• Manage and monitor a portfolio of insurance clients, incorporating sector, market and idiosyncratic risk assessments.
• Contribute to sector strategy, credit policies and appetite setting for the insurance portfolio.
• Build trusted relationships with coverage and product colleagues to enable collaborative risk management.
• Maintain data integrity and drive simplification and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Dynamic and enthusiastic professional with a strong interest in credit risk and the insurance industry.
• Proven ability to perform rigorous credit analysis and make sound recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to develop delegated credit authority within approved limits.
