Cyber Assurance Manager (Public Sector, CNI)

About the role

As a Cyber Assurance Manager you will lead the delivery of cyber assurance engagements for public‑sector and critical national infrastructure (CNI) clients. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to assess cyber risk, ensure regulatory compliance and raise the overall cyber maturity of complex organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end cyber assurance projects aligned with the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).
• Plan, resource and quality‑check engagements, delivering reports and actionable recommendations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client representatives.
• Provide strategic advice on cyber resilience, regulatory requirements and risk mitigation.
• Oversee security assessments, maturity reviews and gap analyses.
• Support business development by leading proposals and identifying new opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cyber assurance, cyber risk or security consulting at manager level.
• Strong knowledge of the NCSC CAF and experience in public‑sector, defence or critical infrastructure environments.
• Understanding of major cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
