Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

LRQA is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join its Security Operations team within a growing Information Security function. Reporting to the Head of Security Operations, you will monitor telemetry across networks, servers and endpoints and respond to security incidents using an offensive security mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse alerts from Microsoft Defender and related telemetry sources.
• Investigate incidents, review vulnerabilities and tune detection rules for optimal performance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for security incidents, coordinating response and remediation.
• Document and maintain security processes and procedures.
• Optimize existing security tooling and avoid unnecessary technology purchases.
• Review threat‑intelligence reports and apply knowledge of attacker TTPs.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with the Microsoft Defender security stack.
• Microsoft SC‑200 certification.
• Background in penetration testing or security operations, with knowledge of Windows AD/AAD attack techniques.
• Detail‑oriented, calm under pressure and able to work both independently and within a team.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
